SJ Froom's make-up tips

You asked: Hi. Help me please I need a foundation or powder that will stay put as I suffer terrible facial sweating due to menopause.

SJ answered:
The great thing about bareMinerals foundation is that once you have applied it in the morning it stays all day long – you never have to re-apply! Buffing bareMinerals into the skin means that the minerals work with the natural oils upon the skin, not against.  You will find that the foundation is non-transferable and water resistant –  exactly why so many woman all over the world love bareMinerals!

You asked:
I wear a lot of black eyeliner but find that it smudges easily. Do you have any suggestions to combat this problem? Thanks.

SJ answered:
To stop your black eyeliner smudging use Bare Escentuals fabulous Weather Everything Liner Sealer. This is a liquid formula that comes with its only mixing tray too!  Simply tip some bareMinerals Liner Shadow into the mixing tray, add one drop of liner sealer, mix the liquid with the minerals using your BareMinerals Liner Brush and there you have a liquid liner! Now apply to top or bottom of lashes (or both!) for a totally smudge (and budge!!!) proof liner.

You asked:
How do I stop my eye shadow from disappearing?

SJ answered:
Simple – all you need is bareMinerals Primetime Eyelid Primer!  This stops eye make up from creasing or disappearing though out the day. It also shows emphasises the pigments of your bareMinerals Eye Colour and makes for easy peasy blending.

You asked:
I drive a lot for work. Despite using waterproof mascara on lower lashes, I get panda eyes after a long drive – help!

SJ answered:
When using mascara on lower lashes make sure you have enough base under your eyes. If you have applied too much eye cream or if you are using a liquid or cream based concealer, then this could be to greasy and mascara will be prone to slip.  To prep your face for lower lash mascara, first use bareMinerals Primetime foundation primer in original and follow with bareMinerals Multitasking Concealer or bareMinerals Well Rested. The minerals work with the natural oils of the skin, they will form a smooth consistency that is not too oily and will act as a barrier from your mascara – so no more slipping! You will have beautiful show stopping eyes all day long…….

You asked:
When I apply eye shadow to my eyes it disappears to soon. How do others keep their eye shadow on?

SJ answered:
When applying eye colours to your eyes always prep them first with bareMinerals Primetime Eyelid Primer – this will keep your eye colours on all day long!

You asked:
What can I use to get rid of baggy eyes?

SJ answered:
If you suffer with dark baggy eyes then you need our bareMinerals Cinderella product , other wise known as ‘Well Rested’.  Simply tap some bareMinerals Well Rested into your lid, swirl your Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush or Light Stroke Brush into the minerals, tap out the excess on the side of the lid and buff around the whole eye area – this will brighten the and give the appearance of fresher, younger looking eyes.

You asked:
What is the difference between foundation and concealer and which do I use first?

SJ answered:
With foundation and concealer there are no rules, only guidelines – it is up to you! I like to start with bareMinerals SPF15 Foundation as you may find you don’t need to conceal as well….

Firstly cover entire face with bareMinerals Primetime Original or our Oil Control formula. Now simply swirl, tap and buff bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation all over the face, starting from the outside of your face and working your way into the centre panel. Make sure you cover the whole of the face and rather than re-visiting your bareMinerals pot - just keep buffing! The more you buff the better the coverage will become and the more flawless your base will look. If you still feel there are areas that could do with a little extra concealing then use our bareMinerals Multi-tasking Concealer on those areas alone…..

Alternatively, you can start with Prime Time as before, then conceal any blemishes, redness, dark circles, acne scaring first with bareMinerals Multi Tasking Concealer and follow by buffing your SPF15 Foundation over the top. Try both methods and see which one best works for you.
