If only this was in Glasgow,I have been with my other half now for 23 years never married but lately i have been thinking about it but what puts me off is the price of the dresses i get it you want to look good but its supposed to be about the vows i absolutely refuse to spend money that i have not got or get in to debt,I have been on ebay but you cant be sure what you are getting,If any one knows of any bridal shops in Glasgow that don't break the bank i don't even mind second hand in fact i prefer the more vintage glamour,And at my age i have to be careful so  any help would be appreciated thanks Jackie x

i brought a dress from ebay brand new from a private seller now have the dress of my dreams just having the bust taken in slightly i have been with my partner 10 years and we have only just got round to it our wedding is in 2 weeks time it really did work out for me so dont be put off just ask lots of questions and ask for more pictures good communication is the answer good luck with your plans :)

Jackie, I don't know where you live but in Coatbridge in Lanarkshire, St Andrews Hospice have a shop with a specific Bridal section. This is apart from the general shop and, as far as I am aware from the local press, you have to call them and make an appointment. Don't think that these are second hand dresses which people have given them in! Apparently Bridal Boutiques at the end of season send a lot of last seasons stock to St Andrews Hospice to sell and raise much needed funds to keep the hospice going. I am sure that if you are local or even localish, a quick call to the Hospice which itself is in Henderson Street, Airdrie, would advise you as to what the situation is and hopefully might be able to sort you out!
