Tricologic trial

Jenny_L

Hi everyone!

I've created a forum thread for the Tricologic triallists to introduce themselves.

It would be great for us all to get to know each other, talk about our particular hair problems and share our thoughts about the product.

If you ever have any questions during the trial, please post them here on the forum, and Greg and I will be more than happy to help you.

Best wishes

Jenny

Well first of all let me apologise for not giving my overall review sooner.

I had problems with my computer but glad to be up and running againg now and am pleased to leave my final blog on the Tricologic trial.

I feel more confident with my hair but when I visited the haidresser last week for a trim of my split ends, she complemented me by saying my hair was split all the way up, nice hey! I thought the condition was quite good, think she was just jealous as her hair was no example of well groomed hair.  I used to go about every 3 months and this was the 1st time i'd used this stylist on booked on day. I won't be going back as last time i was told i have alot of new hair growing so don't think they know what they're saying.

Well at the end of the 90 day Improvements I've mainly noticed are healthier looking hair, more glossy and shiny, more hair growth. Unfortunatly the breakage and hair loss after washing did seem to improve half way through but then seemed to go back to how it was before starting the trial. Had trouble remembering to take them and having very bright yellow wee were an issue for me. I have enjoyed doing this trial but I don't think I would continue as I feel the cost is very high for a product that has not given full improvement. Many thanks for inviting me to take part.

A final farewell to you all on this trial, it was nice reading all your feedback and hearing positive replys.  Emsy

Been a while since i last posted, been busy with full time work and uni, wonder if thats why over the last couple of weeks my hair has been falling out like it used to before I started the trial !!!!!!!!!!!!

I've just finished my last strip of the pills and I have to say that it's been a good three months.  Although I still have quite a lot of breakage, a little less than before,  my hair has grown faster than before I started the trial. My skin has benefited tremendously from this supplement, it now looks very radiant and since I suffered from uneven skin tone, that has gotten much better also. I think my hair has suffered too much damage to be repaired in 90 days, so I will continue to take these supplements. At least my skin has cleared and who knows, with longer usage the breakage might get better.

Thank you very much for allowing me to trial this.

Well the trial has now ended , here are my thoughts:

Positive

* less breakage

*less hair loss in general

* more growth than usual (my hair is very slow to grow normally, I definitely noticed a difference here)

* hair is far more manageable

negatives (not many to be honest)

* hair is still as fine as before

* the benefits are very quick to stop once you miss a couple of days treatment. I was ill midway through the trial with gastric flu and my hair started falling out more as before

All in all I think this is a great product and would definitely recommend it.

Now completed 2 months. Had a little bit of hair loss over the last couple of weeks but I am putting that down to having my hair coloured rather than the tablets not working anymore.

Hi guys

Just completed my 30 day survey, I am keen to get the rest and hope my hair improves.

Has anyone else experienced greasy hair since taking these? I do believe it may be the shine on the root rather than an ultimately greasy scalp, but still, looks strange with the dry and brittle ends.

I really want to get my hair cut and styled, but I'm holding out until I've finished the trial.

Are you guys waiting or just going for the chop to boost your hairs appearance in sync with the healthier root?

Hi, not great news, I'm afraid. I've noticed my hair has been more brittle since beginning the trial. I've had quite a lot of hair snap off in the first 3 weeks of the trial. I went to my hairdresser today (I go every 4 weeks) and she was horrified by the damage. I'm terrified of continuing with the trial. I'm reporting this here just in case anyone else experiences the same problem.

Hi samangray,

I put forward your concerns to the Vitabiotics team and they have supplied the following response:

Thank you for your feedback. We wish to immediately set your mind at rest that Wellwoman Tricologic is a multivitamin supplement which does not contain any ingredients which could be the cause of any change you have noticed regarding brittle hair. In fact, it contains nutrients known to ensure your hair gets adequate nutritional support to help maintain strength and condition, so would only be expected to cause an improvement in brittleness. Since nutrition is supplied from within, at the base of the hair root, it can only improve new hair growth and cannot change brittleness in your existing hair. However any change in shampoos, conditioner or styling could affect the brittleness of existing hair.

Wellwoman Tricologic has been specifically developed for those women who want to help counteract the effects of ageing on their hair and those who want to give the best support possible to their hair and scalp condition. The comprehensive formula of vitamins, minerals and bio-active nutrients to help nourish hair follicles and support the healthy growth of hair from within. All ingredients have been included on the basis of published scientific evidence, showing they can help maintain scalp and hair health.

We would like to assure you that we have not received any other complaints of this nature with regards to Wellwoman Tricologic. There are no known side effects when taken as directed.

In light of your experience however, we would understand if you wish to not continue with the trial.

Have had a break in taking the tablets due to a stomach bug, but back on them now.  Regretfully my hair is still falling out at the same rate and I can't really say that I have noticed any changes for the better or worse.  I suppose logically a few weeks is too soon to see any real differences.  The secon batch of tablets has arrived so I am hopeful that by the end of them things will have improved.  Fingers crossed.

Hi everyone,

It's always a surprise when the mailman knocks on your door with a package and you know you didn't order anything recently :-)

I've just received my second batch of tablets and I'm exited like a little kid at Christmas. Up up and away we go to healty, luminous and long hair...I tell myself everyday with great conviction that this is going to work for me, so fingers crossed.

I've just completed my 30 day survey. Unfortunately I still have quite a lot of breakage, however my hair has grown significantly. My skin looks great so I will continue taking these pills and hopefully with longer I will get less breakage. I would continue taking the pills just for the sake of them making my skin look radiant.

nothing extra to report at the moment

Well - my hair isnt quite like Cheryl Coles but  it is a little  softer than it was. The main advantage for me hasnt come from taking the tablets- its come from me WANTING to try to make my hair look as good asit can! I sounds silly but because my hair is so horrible and thinning I have not been able to bring myself to have it cut/coloured etc so it has not looked as well as it could have. The tablets have made me decide to start to take an interest in it so I have had it cut (which has made it look a little less lank and therefore a bit thicker) and I will be colouring it as  soon as I can get to the shops to buy a colourant!

I am starting to take an interest in my hair again after far too long so I suppose you could say that the tablets are working for me- just in an indirect way!

Oh- just had my second batch delivered

I am now on my third strip and have to honestly say that I haven't noticed any improvement in my hairloss/breakage. The only thing I've noticed is that my skin has gotten very clear and glowing. My skin tone is now fairly even because I've always suffered from uneven skin tone. Maybe the hair issue takes a bit longer to kick in for me.. hopefully soon because I don't want to end up having to shave my head because the breakage is too bad :-(

Hi, well my hair is already starting to look better! I was a little sceptical to be honest at the start of the trial but I have without a doubt noticed an improvement  in both the condition and appearance of my hair. Also when I wash my hair, where I used to loose loads of hair when I combed it out, that has significantly reduced too - which can only be a very good thing! I haven't experienced any problems or side-effects either!

Slight problem tho' in that I've lost the letter with the survey links in - oh dear!!! Can you either post the link to the survey or can you email the link please. Thanks.

I have had for the past few days a really odd METALLIC / BITTER taste in my mouth. Now I have no idea if this is linked to the supplements but I thought I would mention it as I have never had this before. Any ideas on what it could be girls????

Jenny_L
Jenny_L (21 weeks ago)

Hi iris333 - the products contain natural ingredients, and if you are taking them with water or keeping it in your mouth for a lengthy period of time, you may get a foul taste. The tablets are designed to be swallowed whole - perhaps you could try taking it with juice or yoghurt if you don't swallow straight away?

Let me know how you get on.
