Review Pampered Toes – Spa therapy for your feet! [Now Closed]
When you look in the mirror what do you see? Your face? Your body? What about your feet? Being constantly on the go, no-one considers the daily pressures and tensions your feet are subject to. They particularly suffer when crammed into high heels, shoved into pumps or wedged into sandals. Don't ignore them - use Pampered Toes to stretch and strengthen them!
Pampered Toes are a plastic toe stretching device that helps to revive and condition cramped feet. To use them, simply slip them over the tops of your feet. They'll strengthen and align your foot muscles.
The Pampered Toes were inspired by yoga exercises for your feet. The device helps to increase circulation and stretch your tendons.
It makes exercising your tootsies as easy as watching TV. When life runs you off your feet, take a few minutes to relax with Pampered Toes. These retail at £14.99 from www.JMLdirect.com

gel cushions or flats to change into can help. I'm very short so wear heels to add height on a night out my top tip is choose a wedge heel instead as they have a bit more of a platform at the bottom so they add height without hurting and also theres more chance of wobbling over on a tiny heel
I absolutely love wearing heels because I am only short so find any excuse I can! Even my flip-flops have little wedges!! To help keep my feet looking and feeling good, because we all know wearing heels can be very damaging for your feet, once a week I always make sure I give them a home-made pedi and a long foot-soak. I use foot-moisturiser / balm everyday to keep my skin supple and if I know I am going to be wearing my heels for a very long time, I always wear my most comfortable pairs. Sitting down at every opportunity during the day or evening just to give me feet a rest is another thing I do - have a couple of dances and then sit down with a drink etc....it really does help! I will also often take a really comfortable pair of flat dolly shoes with me so I can slip off my heels and pop them on when I'm at my desk etc
Gel cushions for the ball of the foot can help a lot, this is where I tend to get the most pain when wearing heels. Also tuck a pair of folding ballerina pumps into your bag for the end of the evening when feet are really sore and/or your sobriety level leaves something to be desired (I've turned my ankle more than once in high heels). Like any other shoes, wear new high heels in with short periods of wear to shape them to your foot (around the house will do), this will also give you a fair indication of how long you can wear them without substantial discomfort. With a pair of really lovely but uncomfortable shoes, take a bus or taxi to and from your destination and sit down whenever you get a chance (I have a gorgeous pair of 6" spike heel boots but they aren't made for walking around much in).
this looks like a great product! i would love to try as im a busy nurse on my feet all day with under floor heating! when ever i wear heels at the weekend they totally kill me ! i would definately buy these if i dont win them , best of luck every one theres some great entries xxx
I would love to try these - I've got quite wide feet and already from childhood my shoes always seemd a little bit too narrow... So my toes are squashed together. Also job where you have to stand all day long hasn't helped to this situation... I love high heels, but unfortunately more & more I have to opt for trainers, and more often I follow my mum's advice to carry with me nice, comfortable flat shoes when wearing heels (The only problem is - when my mum was saying and doing that she was over 50 but I'm now only 33!). I don't believe that there is a miracle which will make my toes nice and straight or I'll be able to walk in heels 24/7, but it would be nice to try these to see if they can help my toes relax after torture in heels...
I'd love to review these. Due to arthritis, the toes on one foot are a bit squashed together and this sounds as if it might be the ideal way of getting them back on the straight and normal!
Unfortunately I can't wear high heels anymore but my best footcare tip is to moisturise your feet regularly.
Usually after a hard day, I like a long foot soak and a good moisturise with avons shae foot and elbow butter. Plus I keep my toenails as nice as possible which I find a good therapy and love to put my feet up. Plus wearing tights seems to be of some comfort in heels. But I still seem to suffer a lot some times. My feet are agonising sometimes. I could really find this product useful and would love to try. I really have trouble wearing high heels some times and would be so happy to try this.
High heels do wonders for our confidence, but are not so kind to our hamstrings! Pilates, yoga and stretching exercises can help to limit and ease any damage caused. It is good to alternate between high and low heels during the day, and spend some time each day barefoot if possible. Wedges are a good choice for height, as they support the feet better than a shoe with a narrow heel. Shoes with inbuilt platforms are also good, as they give you height without the feet being steeply arched as in normal high heels.
Firstly make sure you break them in around the house for short periods so you don't end up with blisters!
Secondly pop a pair of ballet slippers (the fold up ones) in your handbag so that once you've finished the part of the day/evening where you have to look hot, you can take off your heels and put on the slippers!
Hey,
Wow, I would love to try these! I do a lot of running around and travelling for work, with lots of business meetings, which unfortunately means smart shoes / heels (I would happily live in fitflops, uggs or bare feet otherwise!)
My top tip for wearing heels without putting feet through too much hell is to use gel inserts - they really help to minimise that burning feeling you get especially on the ball of your foot.
Other good things that have worked for me are
* wearing well fitting heels (I think price / design is important for shoes, not for a label, but because better design = better comfort!)
* getting used to wearing them (sounds ridiculous but break them in a bit around the house, even if with socks or tights) - especially if you mainly wear low / no heel shoes, suddenly wearing heels can really hurt and make your feet sore / burn!
* emergency fold-up shoes and a revitilising foot spray are good for the handbag (scholl and the bodyshop do some really nice sprays and lotions, and redfoot or comfypumps are great for fold-up shoes!)
Good luck everyone! :-)

My tip for tired tootsies - Fill a bowl with warm water put 2 x tbs(heaped) mustard powder in give it a good stir then put feet in and relax for 30 min. Feel the difference especially after journey home from work on a cold winters evening. I would love to try pampered toes I would follow this after the above foot soak, thats what i would call spa experience for feet.
I WOULD LOVE TO TRY THESE AS I AM ALWAYS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY FEET I LOVE HIGH HEELS BUT THEY DO NOT LIKE ME I AM NOW CONSIDERING TALKING MY HIGH HEELS WITH ME AND CHANGING WHEN I GET TO WERE I AM GOING AS LAST WEEKEND I ENDED UP WITH BLISTERS ON MY FEET BECAUSE I DIDNT WEAR SENSIBLE SHOES FOR WALKING HAD TO SOAK FEET AND THEN SOAK THEM IN CREAM
I put cotton wool on the inside of my high heels while i'm wearing them. It rubs a lot less and it can be quite comfortable. I also use plasters if I can't use cotton wool and I take my shoes off for 5minutes or so when I'm out. I also carry around a pair of fold up shoes.
Make sure that the shoe really fits! Take your time trying them on & spend some time in them in the store. Stand with your knees straight & try to raise yourself on your toes so there's at least an inch of space under the heels. If you can't do that, the heels are too high, & your feet will tell you!
have had 2 ops on my foot and have to have another one...The pain I get is so frustrating as have to walk so slow....the balls of my feet burn..plus I have Raynauds so op cant be done till next spring....have tried the gell pads and they dont work...Go to Podiatry next week...wouldnt mind having a go of these little beauties...
I am a childminder, running after 4 kids before and after school. At night's I work at the hospital for 11 hours so I am on my feet a lot. Patient care on the ward mean I walk a few miles each night. I have to wear comfy, silent shoes, can you imagine me in high heels for those jobs. When I go out I like to transform and high heels are the perfect thing to make my calf muscles look slimmer. As my feet and legs are not used to being in this position the leg cramp and feet pain at the end of the night is like nothing else but it is totally worth it. I love my heels and being a beautiful, sexy lady instead of a mum, nurse or childminder.
