My Shake Weight 7 day Trial
The Shake Weight 7 day trial
Well it's arrived! The shake weight just looks like just another 'dumbell' until you pick it up. At each end you feel movement, a sort of flexibility... weird!
Day One
I recommend looking through the DVD first, get a feel for what the exercises are going to be. The instructor is really clear about what to do and the demonstrations are easy to follow..... OK here goes.... Actually it feels more comfortable than you'd think. I had visions of shaking a rigid dumbell but because of the flexible action at each end it feels 'comfortable' to shake. Some of the exercises begin a little awkwardly (especially the side to side ones) but I think practice will help my technique. After a six minute workout my arms are well worked!! That felt a good workout - I can't believe it was only 6 minutes!.
Day Two
Followed the DVD again. OOh I felt the burn this morning..... the exercises are getting easier to move to... still having a few 'rhythm' problems with the side to side exercise - but getting there.
Day Three
Really getting the hang of this now. I would say my technique is just about right know. Can't believe this is only a 6 minute workout... (it does feel at least 20 mins) Arms are hurting now.... this has got to be doing some good.
Day Four
This is now officially part of my daily routine. Up, Shake and shower!! Anyone can fit in 6 minutes a day. I'm really enjoying this regime. No visible signs of bingo wing improvement yet but I'm realistic..... My arms do 'feel firmer', they haven't had so much daily attention in a good while.
Day five
Sticking to the routine, no problems. The tension seems to be lifting a little, my body is coming round to idea I want to exercise it!
Day six
Really loving this - it's just so quick! Just one criticism.. it would be good to have some extra exercises on the DVD for 'advanced workout'. Generally really please and will keep up this regime.
Day seven
Well this is my final trial day. I've really enjoyed this regime. The workout has been easy to follow with the DVD. The instruction given are clear and precise. After 7 days I can't see any 'physical' difference but my arms 'feel' firmer. I'll be interested to see the difference after 3 - 4 weeks.
My advice is - be open to this new technique. You do need to have reasonable co ordination but if you follow the DVD through it's step by step guide you can't go far wrong. I for one would buy one of these if the price was right.
So is it:
• Effective?: I would say it is effective - it's only been a week and my arms feel firmer.
• Ease to use?: Yes. You need to follow the DVD and have reasonable co ordination.
• Value for money?: When I did a search they retail at approx £9 - £10 .... that’s reasonable I think, and if they effectively target the 'bingo wing' area that’s money well spent..
All in all I'd give this product an 8/10 rating.
