Making your own beauty products and cosmetics

Hi, I'm new to the forum but have just got back from one of the most inspiring weekends ever and wanted to tell everyone about it!
I spent a weekend in the Languedoc region of France in a remote French house (with no mobile phone reception - peace!) where I learnt to make my own natural cosmetics / beauty products.

We spent a morning learning the theory and sniffing lots of essential oils, learning how they effect your moods, wellbeing and really getting to grips with the healing power of plants whether you need to get rid of wrinkles, excema, spots, dry patches or even just need to lift your mood - there's an oil for everything.

I learnt to make my own face cream, body cream, body oil, face and neck serum, face scrub, body scrubs, toner and cleanser - so many products and so many gorgeous smells. They even teach you how to read a label on 'regular' products to learn all about what's bad for you.

I for one am a convert.

The food was great, the wine plentiful and I felt like I've had a week away not a weekend. It was so relaxing and inspiring that I wanted to tell everyone about it.
