I tried the Atkins diet, but hated it, it gave me really bad sore heads so had to stop.

Tried Weight Watchers a few times, always found with it even weeks I had stuck to it ridgidly i would have either put on or stuck to the same weight as the week before.

A friend of mine who is a dietician said that every food you eat has calories, so when your on the WW diet and your eating all these NO POINT FOODS lets face facts your still eating calories, I think thats why some weeks you have either put on weight or not lost any.

Calorie counting seems to work best for me, but weighing everything gets tedious and I cant be bothered at times, but it definitely works when I do it, only problem is I usually put it back on.

I just need to be more active too. That will make a huge difference with watching what I eat.

I tried Atkins and just thinking about it now makes me hungry. Most of my friends have done amazingly well from the Cambridge Diet but I just can't justify the cost.

I did slimming world, lost loads and then put it straight back on.

I did WW, lost loads, then put it straight back on. WW was far better at teaching me to eat more healthily, SW had some odd extremes.

This year I plan to eat less and move more, a la Change 4 life. I have joined the gym....hopefully that will help.

I tried the Atkins and it made me feel bloated and ill - that didn't last long!  Have just started a 1-month's trial of Zotrim, with an on-line blog - I detail everything I eat, so if I don't lose weight, it will be easy to check why.

I've tried slimming world, weightwatchers, atkins & meditteranean and I am still the same weight as I always am!! So you can work out whether they work in the long term :)

hello i tried the slimming world diet and it worked but the only downside to this diet is you have to pay a fee every week and for people who do not work or are on low income its quite a lot out of your pocket and a bit unfair really, i was made redundant while i was on it so with no money co ing in i had to stop it, so i put all the weight back on, i would love to be able to go back to it as i really enjoyed the fun we had
