Daily moisturising
I used to moisturise my whole body every day, but it got a bit time consuming in the end. I used Dove and it was too thick. Can anyone recommend a really nice body moisturiser which is quick to apply and absorbs easily? What does everyone else do to keep their skin soft, especially in winter?
Emma, your question got me thinking about my own skincare regime, to be honest it's non-existent. Oh I'm very good with my facial skincare but my body - well I'm too lazy. But when we got Anita in to do a Q&A session, one of the members asked about how to solve dry skin in winter (I have the same problem!) and Anita suggested good foods to eat as well as maybe trying the Perfectil Plus. I'm definitely going try to the foods she suggested as they're part and parcel of a healthy diet anyway. I guess I might consider getting perfectil plus as I saw it on Boots as 3 for 2, not sure yet though.
Anyway, it's a good video Q&A if you fancy a peek - http://www.talkperfection.com/content/how-diet-can-help-your-dry-skin-winter

Hello FarahL
Welcome to TalkPerfection.
Origins? I just found their website but I haven't used them before. Where can you get these products?
I really struggle with dry skin. I mositurise, but by the time I'm in the office the dry patches have appeared and the skin that appeared fairly respectable as I let the house suddenly starts looking unbelievably tired.
I swear by my aunt betty's natural cocoa butter for moisturising - every time i've had a bath or shower i just slap some on my neck, chest and hands. Don't forget under the eyes too! - they're the most improtant areas to ward off the signs of aging. Origins are great too - i totally trust them and they don't test on animals. you can get origins products in most major dept stores and there's an outlet in covent garden too.
Hello Laho! Welcome to TalkPerfection!
I love these tried and tested creams. The simpler the better too in my opinion.
I was at a local market / fair thing the other day and one of the stall holders had beautfiul smelling products that were Shea Butter based. They smelt and felt wonderul but her tiny little pots were too expensive for my credit crunch wallet. Turns out you can buy pure (and natural) shea butter from a lot of places online for very little money. I have yet to try it, but I can't wait. It's supposed to be quite a traditional (African?) moisturiser- so I'm looking forward to it!
