Review Beauty Without Cruelty products for us
Here at TalkPerfection we're always interested in finding and reviewing the best health and beauty products for you. But we'd also feel so much better about them if we knew they were as kind to the environment and nature as they are to you. So without further ado we'd like to introduce Beauty Without Cruelty, an ethical and vegetarian-friendly range of beauty, skin, body and hair products.
Beauty Without Cruelty has given us two products to review, and as ever we'd like you to help us out and tell us whether you can really have beauty without cruelty.
Beauty Without Cruelty Waterproof Mascara (black) - Their original waterproof mascara claims to last all day through even the most demanding tasks! Best of all it's vegan suitable, fragrance free and hypoallergenic.
Beauty Without Cruelty Tinted Moisturiser (light or medium) - A multi-purpose all-day moisturiser with a hint of sheer colour that would be suitable for those who want a very natural look. Enriched with plant extracts and sunscreens to help protect from premature aging and sun damage, again it is fragrance free and hypoallergenic.
We'd like a couple of reviewers for each product, so if you're interested, leave a comment below telling us your views on animal testing in cosmetics (a controversial one, we know, so keep it civil please!).
Please submit your comment by 22 March.

I already use animal friendly products but I cant find a good waterproof mascara. I think we should all be doing our bit to stop animal cruelty. I would love to review these products so that I could tell everyone how good there are and do my bit to stop animal cruelty. x
Hi everyone, thanks for submitting your comments!
The reviewers have been selected, I'm afraid if you did not receive an email from me it means you haven't been selected. However don't be disheartened - we are always running fabulous product trials - just take a look around the Trials & Reviews forum to see what else you might be interested in reviewing.

No words can express my disgust at the thought of cosmetic makeup being tested on animals! The thought of pain being inflicted on animals is very upsetting to me and there should be a law in place abolishing this obscenity. There is no need whatsoever to test makeup on animals and I can only come to the conclusion that any person who undertakes this is nothing but a sadist!

In todays society there is just no need for products to be tested on animals, technology is getting better each day and there is many other means to test things...it needs to stop . I would love to trial any of these products as i think that the best ways to advertise products is to get comsumers to trial first x
I would Love to try these products for you, am still waiting for my first trial, fingers crossed
I am a vegetarian and believe that animals are human beings who deseve to be respected and not mistreated.
I do not believe in testing products on them as i feel that it is not really worth trying on them and should be tested on humn beings.
I think that many of these multi-million pound companies just do the testing on animals as it is cheaper and saves them money
I am an animal lover and welcome a range of cosmetics that are "animal friendly" and not tested on animals which I abhore!! I would very much like to try both the mascara and the moisturiser. To find a truly waterproof mascara would be of great benifit with a holiday soon in the sun! Also, a moisturiser that both protects and gives a natural look. Bring it on!!!
I am absolutely against testing on animals - and there is no justification when it concerns cosmetics. In the past I belonged to an organisation against cruelty to animals (and this is cruelty). It would give me great satisfaction to feel that I could do something, however small, to eradicate this.
In all honesty in this day and age we surely no longer need to test beauty products on animals! We should all vote with our purses and only purchse BWC products.
I would very much like to try the water proof mascara, I have Hayfever and my eyes water a lot. It has to be water proof for me, or I end up looking like I have spider legs on my cheeks..lol
I used BWC blusher and lipstick for the first time about 25 years ago and found them both to be fantastic products that appealed owing to the lack of animal testing but also held their own amongst other products for quality in their own right. I have very pale eye lashes and find that many mascaras cause me irritation so to test a BWC mascara will be great as if it does not irritate me then I can switch to an ethical brand with confidence. I do not normally risk changing in case I only use the new product once and then have to bin it.
I am a very strict vegetarian and am totally against animal testing. I don't really understand how the safety of a cosmetic product can be tested on an rabbit or rat for example, and then declared safe for human use! The DNA, skin, chemicals etc on an animal are totally different to those on a human and therefore it is no wonder that we see many people suffering very bad reactions to cosmetic type products when they have been declared safe for human use!
The treatment of the animals used in testing facilities is horrendous and the suffering they go through is absolutely appalling - all in the name of being able to wear the newest foundation or mascara!
It is very difficult to find, locally for me, any cosmetic products that have not been tested on animals so I often go without or have to spend time on the internet searching for these products. I really think stores should wake-up to an ever increasing voice of people who wish to look beautiful without the terrible suffering endured behind the scenes.
I would love to test these fab products so please, please consider me!
I used to use BWC products many years ago and would love to test these to see if they are are good now as they were then.
I am against animal testing for the beauty industry. Many cosmetics companies now produce products without having to do this, so the companies who still do this should be made aware that there are other ways of testing.
I think it is totally wrong to test beauty products on animals. I can understand that a case might be made for testing drugs eg to help cure cancer or other horrific diseases, but for beauty products I believe it is only cost (the cheapness of keeping/breeding animals for testing purposes) that encourages animal testing.
I used to have a small card which told me which companies carried out testing on animals, which I carried everywhere with me, so that I could refer to it when making purchases. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost it - but I believe it came from IFAW or a similar organisation. That is really useful
Most mascaras that I've tried end up making my eyes sting or water when I accidentally rub some into them. Despite the fact that many animals may have suffered unnecessarily before the products reach my eyelashes, my eyes still react badly to their ingredients. I would love to test this mascara to see if it lives up to its hyperallergenic claim with the added bonus of knowing no animals have suffered just to make me look good.
As most people have said, there is just no excuse now for animal testing. If there are any concerns at all about the ingredients used or the effects they might have, don't test them at all, just bin them and stick to natural ingredients that are already tested to be safe, and test the resulting products on willing humans.
However, big cosmetic companies aren't going to change their ways if we keep buying their products. It's up to the consumer to try out alternatives (like the ones being trialled here) and then make their voice heard about how good these products are.
I have always supported non tested products as I don't believe we can justify in anyway the crueltly inflicted on animals in labs due to testing. If supermarkets such as the Coop can offer cheaply priced cruelty free products there is noreason why the major cosmetic brands can,t do the same. I have read some really horrible things re animal testing and I would love the chance to try a tinted moisturiser that is cruelty free. I like the fact it is hyperallergenic as I have sensitive skin.
I hate anything that is researched on animals. The results of this testing are questionable. Does a mouse have the same cellular make up as me? Does a rabbit have the same tear fluid as me?
I would willingly test something to know that I have spared an animal potential harm, or the indignity of having to wear a shade that was 'just not their colour!'
My daughter and I are a close to natural household as we can be. She has very sensitive skin and morals and i need to use ethical, good quality produtcts for my aging skin. These two products - the Beauty without cruelty tinted moisturiser would be great for me and the waterproof mascara for my daughter. We are ardent animal lovers and are always against any cruelty so please do concider us for your testers , we wil give you thorough and truthful reviews. Thank you
