Would you fake your tan?

I have red hair (underneath the colour ;) ) the palest skin and freckles. I don't burn....I crisp!

The nearest I get to a tan is when the freckles 'join' up.

I don't tan evenly and like to have a healthy glow before I go on holiday. Lily White is not a good look! I've tried fake tans before but they have turned out streaky, orange in places and have made a mess of my clothes. I'd like to try this one to see if it does a better job for my holiday in October.
