Hope to keep posting
Further to earlier posts, my OH now in hospital having had a maxi - not mini as they said - stroke. He also has infection, but they don't know what it is. I will try to keep posting. Would point out that it says to take the pills after a main meal - well after spending all day at the hospital yesterday, my 'main meal' was a bag of fudge followed by a glass of wine. Noticed another post about urine colour - I did notice yesterday that mine seemed quite dark but put it down to crap diet yesterday. Also I have a very bad cold - not the best thing to take into a hospital, but I suppose it's better than MRSA. Having a cold always mucks up the rest of my system - my nails break, my hair looks worse (if that's possible) and I generally feel rough. Be interesting to see if Perfectil can work it's way through that lot. You may wonder why I'm sitting here doing this; well it takes my mind off other stuff, I can't speak to anyone at the hospital for at least another hour, I'm not allowed in until 2:00 - but I shall get there much earlier as parking is a pain in the backside. Right now I'm going to do the ironing, can't go to work, just can't concentrate.
Thank you everyone. As of today, he is so much better, stroke only cause by flipping infection which in turn caused by dental treatment. Considering he's had open heart surgery, you wouldn't even have known that yesterday, his kidneys were a 'concern' but today he says doctors are very pleased with him, only needs some more dental treatment - at King's - then they may transfer him back to Ashford. Fingers crossed, and thanks everyone once more - I hadn't realised so many of you had posted, not really had a chance to look through the posts. However, I am now on half-term for two weeks so have a little respite. x
Now need to get on with boring housework and clearing up after geriatric cats! Don't ask!!
Thank you everybody - much appreciated. When I left last night they were whacking in a very strong antibiotic as they think the infection is in his heart, he thinks he may get out today, but I won't know for at least a couple of hours after doctors' rounds. They have said that there is no damage and think that it was the infection that caused the stroke - ie caused a blood clot. I really do appreciate all your kind thoughts.
