Tricologic - 30 days in
So, after a full month of taking the tablets, where do I stand?
Well, I can with all honesty say that there appears to be less fall-out of hair when I am washing or brushing it. That is a very positive step - unfortunately, it doesn't appear to have made one iota of difference to how thick my hair looks when it is down. I've been keeping it tied back in a ponytail constantly because it just hangs limply, like overcooked spaghetti.
Somebody told me that keeping your hait permanently tied back can actually exacerbate the problem of hair loss..........but I don'r feel at all comfortable with it down right now. It just makes my swollen steroid-moonface look even rounder and fatter!
Another positive is that it seems to be making my roots less greasy. I'd only ever suffered from dry hair before and then about 12 months ago I noticed that it was getting really greasy at the roots whilst still being brittle and split at the ends.
So, less loss (apparently - no scientific tests done here to confirm it. I haven't been counting strands etc!) and less grease. Two positive outcomes. Sadly no increase in volume but this isn't my main disappointment with the tablets, I must confess.
My main problem with the tablets so far is that they don't seem to be having any positive effect on skin, nails or general healthy feeling. If you read the ingredients list, the tablet is basically a multivitamin with added extras. As a result of this, I would expect to see improvement in skin tone, nail health and general well-being.
I was taking Perfectil up until Christmas and the difference it made was incredible regarding skin and nails. Seeing as the formulas differ very little between Perfectil and Tricologic, I can't quite work out why I'm not seeing the same results.
Over the years I've taken a comprehensive multivitamin daily and when I feel I need an extra boost, I fork out a bit more cash on a course of Perfectil. I often see a difference within the first 20 days................so I'm saddened that the Tricologic isn't having the same results.
Fingers crossed that next month sees an improvement because if there isn't one, I'm going to wish I'd just opted for the Perfectil Plus trial and not bothered with this one.
I'm sorry if that sounds ungrateful, I'm going to book a haircut, get some of the length chopped off and see if that makes a volume boosting difference!
Bye for now xxxxxx
